# Changing PHP Version (MultiPHP) - Linux Shared Hosting

The following article is outlining how PHP version for a Linux Shared Hosting account can be changed. 

**Please, note this module is available for clients that have purchased hosting accounts before September of 2013.**

**Clients that have purchased account from us after Septembe of 2013 should refer to the following article on[Changing PHP Version](https://clientarea.mochahost.com/knowledgebase/635).**

1. To select a different PHP version you need to enter your Cpanel and go to **"Preferences"** section. 

2. There you should see the **Mocha MultiPHP icon**. Click on it to see the list menu.

3. There is a simple **Dropdown menu** which allows you to choose from PHP 5.6, 5.5, 5.4, 5.3.

4. Choose your desired version and click on **submit**. That's it!
