# How to Disable Mod_Security in cPanel

## How to Disable Mod\\\_Security in cPanel

Mod\\\_Security is a toolkit for real time web application firewall and monitoring. It is used to block commonly known exploits by use of rule sets.

Mod\\\_Security increase the amount of protection for your web applications and we will not recommend to disable Mod\\\_Security on your account.

1. Log into cPanel

2. Scroll down to **Security** and choose **ModSecurity**

3. You can disable mod\\\_security for a particular domain. **Select the domain you want to disable and click Off button**
