What are Auto Renew-Only Domains?

Certain domain names are Auto Renew only. These Auto-Renew only domains cannot be manually renewed.

The invoice for domain renewal must be paid 30 days before the Renewal Deadline for the domain in order to be renewed.

The registrant will lose the domain name if payment is not made 30 days before Renewal Deadline, despite how much time remains on the registration.  

To ensure that you do not lose your domain name, please make sure that you setup automatic payment for your account via CC batch so that the domain gets renewed automatically.

When and why will this take effect?

The effective date for the change took place on December 1st, 2016.  

This will impact domains that need to be renewed starting January 1st, 2017. Any TLDs that if on the Auto-Renew Domain only list will be effected. They will need to be renew 30 days before the Renewal Deadline

Renewal Deadline is the domain expiration date based on the TLD registry.

The following TLD’s registry have updated their renewal process. These Auto-Renew only domain cannot be manually renewed. This is why we have to update our domain renewal process to meet these new guidelines. To ensure that your domain get renewed properly, you can setup payment to be CC batch so that you do not lose your domain name.

The invoice must be paid 30 days before the Renewal Deadline for the domain to be renewed. The registrant will lose the domain name if payment is not make 30 days before the Renewal Deadline.

How to Cancel my Domain?

It is your responsibility to notify MochaHost’s via our Cancellation Form to cancel any domain registration at least thirty (30) days prior to the renewal date. No refunds will be given once a domain is renewed. All domain registrations and renewals are final.

Why setup auto payment?

To ensure that you do not lose your domain name, we suggested that you setup your account to process with CC auto or PayPal Subscription. If you do not renew your domain on time, you will lose the domain name. 

Some Registry will auction the expired domain name or have a grace period for the domain name to be able to get register as new.

Domain names, not renewed on time might go into an RGP stage. Renewing a domain name in this Redemption Grace Period costs additional $250.

In order to setup Automatic Payments for any future transactions via Credit Card so that we charge you automatically for any new invoices due please login at our billing system located at:

And then follow these instructions:

-> Click on "Billing" from the top menu bar
-> Select "Manage Credit Card"
-> Enter your credit card information in the appropriate fields/spaces provided
-> Click on "Save Changes"

To setup automatic payment via PayPal Subscription, please click on the PayPal Subscribe link/logo located at the upper-right hand corner of your invoice (accessible through our billing system), and follow PayPal's instructions carefully for the rest of the process.

With PayPal Subscription, make sure that you set the payment to be made 35 days before the renewal date.  This to ensure that the payment will post to the invoice.

NOTE: We will attempt to process any new invoices (including this one) within 3 days in order to avoid certain time sensitive services to lapse such as domain name renewals, SSL certificates, etc. For some account types the payment maybe processed up to 3-4 weeks from the actual due date on the invoice.
