.INFO.BD is a second-level domain under Bangladesh’s .BD ccTLD, managed by the Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL). It is intended for informational or general-purpose websites. BTCL requires document verification for all .BD registrations; this is a registry-level requirement.

Eligibility

  • The registrant must be a Bangladeshi national.
  • The domain name must be at least 3 characters long (2-character names are not allowed).
  • The name on the NID must match the name in your account profile.
  • All submitted information must be consistent across all documents.
  • The domain must be registered by the actual registrant only. No individual or third party may register a .BD domain on behalf of someone else.

Required Documents

1. National ID (Mandatory)

  • Valid Bangladeshi National ID (NID) of the registrant.

2. Mobile Number (Mandatory)

  • An active, reachable Bangladeshi mobile number.

3. Request Letter (Mandatory)

A request letter that clearly states:
  • The purpose of registering the domain
  • The exact domain name being requested

Additional Verification

BTCL may request additional documents or verification depending on the domain name and circumstances of the application.

How to Submit Your Documents

Please submit the documents via a support ticket. Once received and verified, we will proceed with activation, subject to BTCL’s approval.
