WordPress Slow Plugins- to stay away from

We have tried to compile an extensive list of "slow" plugins, which you should try to stay away from. We did test most of these our self, some of these we found online, and some of these got reported to us by our clients.

If you see a plugin that you recognize that you currently use, we strongly suggest that you find an alternative. Always research the plugin before you install it, read any reviews especially concerning Performance. In general plugins which make a lot of external calls to 3rd party websites or services such as Feeds, Translation plugins, Social media integrations, etc - will slow your WP significantly.

Please, note the JetPack plugin in the list - we see a lot of people trying to use this to speed up their website, this is not a good plugin and should not be used for any WP!

Please, note that is not always about the number of plugins you use in your WP, but what kind of plugin you use!
